BOTTOM LINE: A feel-good flick worth a one time watch. The father-daughter relationship is one thing to watch out.

With a predictable climax, Hasee Toh Phasee's story has no relation with its title, except that they utter the three words towards the end. Emotions play good and melodrama is the second sister. Few improbable stances mire the whole love point and in we are receiving something that we have seen in so many films before. Come second half and the story goes haywire. The writers have managed to stay different in everything: jokes, humor, narration, and the stitching elements. Even Adah Sharma is good enough as a nagging fiancée. Manoj Joshi & Sharat Saxena are brilliant. Parineeti Chopra's dual character is important for her career and sets a benchmark. Sidharth Malhotra is definitely good after his previous stint. All's well in the first half and love is in the air. The lead characters are powerful and they really drive the plot ahead, which talks about how "imperfection is ubiquitous." The side characters are even powerful coughing up a family environment busy with an upcoming wedding. What was turning out to be an inventive drama filled with originality & which also makes us hold onto our eyes & ears together for there is suspense, eventually carves itself as a clichéd romantic-comedy. On the whole, 'Hasee Toh Phasee' may not be flawless, but it has some genuine merit to sail off safely. Manoj Joshi, Neena Kulkarni & Sharat Saxena, are outstanding in supporting roles. Even the on-screen chemistry between the two, is superb. Sidharth is terrific & shows vast improvement over his previous film, while Parineeti adds tremendous depth & humor to her part. Performance-Wise: Sidharth Malhotra & Parineeti Chopra deliver sparkling performances in lead roles. Cinematography, Editing & Art Design, are good.

The Screenplay is interesting & sweet, but it surrenders to monotony in the second-hour! Vinil Mathew's Direction is decent. While the film begins most admirably, the latter hour isn't as commendable as one expects it to be. The sequences get slightly monotonous & the culmination, is dragged. 'Hasee Toh Phasee' has a breezy & entertaining first-hour, with almost every scene/sequence leaving an impression. Now, as Nikhil has one week to prove himself worth enough to marry Meeta's sister Karishma, the old acquaintances become quite close to each other. However, some portions of the film, especially in the second-hour, falter! 'Hasee Toh Phasee' Synopsis: Nikhil is re-introduced to Meeta nearly ten years after their first meeting. 'Hasee Toh Phasee' is A Decent Entertainer, that offers some charming moments in the goings-on.
